My Medicare carrier does not pay for podiatrists to bill for diagnostic or therapuetic US. Best thing for you to do is look up the LCD for your MC carrier on the US codes, and see what they say. If it is not covered by your MC carrier, have the provider get an ABN from patients who want the service, and make it self-pay.
